Upskill
Upskill is a UX/UI project focusing on making fluency more accessible.
"Fluent speaking people earn 34% more than others".
Source; Times of India
About the Project
English, however universally accepted it may be, still holds the power to create language/proficiency barrier between people.
It boils down to the understanding of the language, vocabulary, grammar and most importantly, confidence. Fluency does not come overnight, it requires effort, time
and practice.
Deliverables

User Experience
User Interface

The goal is to design an app which helps understand the basics of the language and helps people gain the fluency they need for excelling in various areas of life; personal and professional.
Problem
Area
1. Lack of fluency as a whole in India.
2. This lack becomes a barrier and causes hinderances in daily lives / work place.
3. Difficult for people to network and put themselves out there.
4. “A persons socio-economic status in
Indian society is approximately in line with
their fluency”

Teenagers and Adults
Age: 15 - 35
Demographic: Tire 1 and Tire 2 Cities
The market is advancing much like the world and there are apps that cater to English learning but none that focus on a wholesome learning which taps onto all aspects of English speaking and not just learning with reading.

Insights
As we can see here, there are apps that cater to English and grammar learning but none of them cater to specifically putting focus on English fluency for various arenas and work of life. These carter to providing basic textual knowledge but building up on fluency takes practice and assistance which is a long road coupled with consistent efforts.
